O mundo esmaltístico se rendeu aos esmaltes magnéticos. Quase todas as empresas gringas estão lançando esse tipo de esmalte, e agora temos uma grande variedade de cores, imãs e até preços.
Ainda falta uma empresa Brasileira produzir esmalte magnético, e enquanto isso, vocês que moram no Brasil precisam ralar pra conseguir um.
The nail polish world has surrendered to the magnetic nail polish trend. Almost all nail polish companies have released their own magnetic collection, and now we have a wide variety of colors, sizes, magnets, and even prices.
In Brazil the companies seem to be a little slower, since no one has launched the trend yet.
Hoje vou mostrar o Instant Chemistry da China Glaze. Esse foi o único esmalte da marca que resolvi comprar. Gostei bastante do Pull Me Close, que é azul, mas como já tenho muito esmalte azul, resolvi ir com um vinho dessa vez.
Today I have China Glaze Instant Chemistry. This was the only polish from the Magnetix collection that I bought. I really liked Pull Me Close, but since I already have tons of blue nail polish, I decided to go with a burgundy one this time.
Os esmaltes magnético da China Glaze não vêm com imã, como muitas marcas estão fazendo. Você precisa comprar o imã separadamente. Dependendo de onde você compra, o preço varia de US$4 a US$10. O imã é em forma de ferradura, e possui 3 tipos de desenho: o clássico de listras, um de chevrons (linhas em V) e um de estrela, ou asterístico.
Unlike most of the other brands, China Glaze decided to sell their magnet separately, and with 3 designs. Depending on where you buys it, it can range from $4 to $10. I know, huge difference in price.
Testei os 3 imãs numa mão só pra ver com que facilidade os desenhos se formavam. Como muitas blogueiras estão mencionando, o imã não é muito forte, e é bom segurar ele por 1 minutinho a mais, só para garantir que o desenho não vai se desmanchar enquanto o esmalte seca.
I tested all 3 designs on one hand so I could decide which one I wanted to wear, and to see how well the designs formed. It's true what we've been reading on most blogs, the magnets are not that strong, so you have to hold it for a little longer o make sure the design stays in place as the polish dries.
No dedo indicador usei o desenho de Chevrons, no dedo médio usei a estrela, no dedo anelar usei as listras, e no mindinho usei o imã da Claire's de listras.
On my pointer finger I used the Chevron design, which was a total fail. On my middle finger I used the star design, and on the ring finger I used the stripes design. On my little finger I used Claire's stripes magnet.
O imã de Chevron é bem problemático. As listras não ficam bem retinhas, o V fica meio arredondado, e é difícil centralizar o desenho na unha (parece q o imã não é centralizado, não sei se é só o meu, ou se outras pessoas estão notando isso).
O de listras é bem simples, e fácil de usar. Na hora de comparar as listras do imã da China Glaze e da Claire's, nota-se que o espaço entre as listras é maior no imã da Claire's. Gostei mais do da China Glaze.
The chevron magnet is the hardest to use because it doesn't seem to be aligned with the magnet's center. No matter how many times I tried to centralize it, it always seemed to be off. Definitely need to try it again some other time.
The star magnet is weak, and I had to try at least 4 times to get it to be clear.
The stripes magnet is pretty simple and easy to use. When I compared it to Claire's, I noticed the space between the stripes is larger on the latter one.
Acabei usando esse esmalte com as listras, e uma filha única de estrela, que não ficou tão boa...
I ended up using the stripes magnet, and an accent nail with the star magnet (which didn't turn out so clear)...
Adorei a cor, e a aplicação do esmalte. Se você errar, é só passar outra camada por cima. O imã é grandão e meio chatinho de segurar. Descobri que o melhor jeito de usar é com a mão em cima de uma superfícia reta e os dedos esticados, em vez de fazer a mesma pose que fazemos para a foto e segurar o imã com a outra mão. Quanto mais as mãos estiverem paradas, mais claro o desenho vai ser.
I loved the color and the polish application. And I found the best way to use the bulky magnet is to rest one hand on a level surface, with finger stretched, rather than curling the fingers inside (like we do to take nail pictures) and holding the magnet over it. The less your hands move, the better the designs will be.
Terminei com uma camada de Seche Vite, que não encolheu o esmalte, nem borrou o desenho.
I finished it off with one coat of Seche Vite, and it didn't shrink the polish, or smear the design.
