Os esmaltes de marcas "indie" (leia-se misturinhas que estão sendo vendidas) estão fazendo o maior sucesso aqui nos Estados Unidos. O negócio tá tão sério por aqui que as meninas estão estocando suas lojinhas virtuais, e em coisa de minutos os esmaltes estão ficando esgotados. Um exemplo é o Floam, que eu já mostrei aqui.
Indie polishes are the current craze in the US right now. The whole thing is a little out of control, because the stores will open and then everything is sold out in minutes. An example of an Indie polish is Floam, which I posted about here.
Antes de me mudar eu consegui encomendar dois esmaltes da NerdLacquer pela loja na etsy. Comprei o No Medal for Chewie por que amo Star Wars, e o Cyance Friction que é um aqua lindo. Hoje vou mostrar o No Medal for Chewie.

A maioria desses novos frankens que estão sendo vendidos por aí são carregados de glitter. Pra quem está no Brasil, ou não consegue comprar esses esmaltes, e gosta de fazer misturinhas, fica mais fácil fazer algo parecido.
The majority of these franken polishes are glitter based, and for those who live in Brazil or other countries that these aren't shipped to, if you have access to loose glitters, it's fairly easy to create something similar at home. If you like doing this kind of thing, of course. I just rather buy mine!
No Medal for Chewie tem a base verde oliva, ou verde musgo mais claro. A cor é bem esquisita, mas eu achei linda. É meu primeiro esmalte desse tom de verde. A base dele é super bem pigmentada, e com uma camada grossa já cobre a unha toda.
Os glitters são em duas cores, um verde bandeira e um amarelo/dourado. Tem glitter hexagonal e uns glitters bem pequenininhos das duas cores, e ainda tem uns hexagonais maiores só do amarelo.
No Medal for Chewie has an olive green base. The color is slightly weird, but I ended up liking it a lot. It's super well pigmented, and one thick coat gave very good coverage. It has green and gold hexagonal glitters, and tiny glitters, and also large gold hexagonal glitters.
Passei duas camadas pra ver se conseguia colocar mais do glitter hexagonal grande, mas acabei foi escondendo os que ficaram na camada de baixo. Por incrível que pareça, ele não secou cheio de textura, mas passei uma camada de top coat da Essie só por mania, e para proteger os glitters que ficaram mais expostos.
I used 2 coats to see if I could get more of the large hexagons on my nails, but the second coat ended up covering up most of the glitter that was already there. I was surprised to see that it didn't dry gritty, or with a lot of texture. Out of habit, and mostly to protect the glitters that were fully exposed, I used 1 coat of Essie Good to Go.
A fórmula é excelente, o pincel é bom, e o tamanho do vidrinho é bem grandinho com 15ml. Pelo que entendi, os esmaltes da marca são miturinhas mesmo, pois ela usa esmaltes existentes para chegar à cor desejada, depois adiciona os glitters e partículas de mica.
Fiz o meu pedido através da lojinha da marca na Etsy, e como ela recebeu MUITOS pedidos, demorou um pouco pra chegar. Ela fala que manda em 5-7 dias, mas o meu demorou umas 2 semanas pra chegar. Até pedi pra ela trocar o endereço de entrega por que não estaria mais no Havaí. A dona, Amanda, me atendeu super bem, e trocou o endereço sem problema nenhum. Adorei o atendimento!
The formula on this polish was excellent, the brush was also good, and the bottle is fairly big with 15ml of polish. From what I read, NerdLacquer polishes are made out of existing polishes mixed together, and then the loose glitter and mica particles are added to create the final effect.
I order my polishes through the Etsy store, but since they sold more than expected, the orders were taking longer than the 5-7 days mentioned on the site. My polishes took 2 weeks to arrive, and I even had to ask for a change in the delivery address, because I was leaving Hawaii before they arrived. I received instant response, and Amanda was super nice and changed my delivery address without a problem. Loved the customer service!
Gostaram da cor? Sei que muita gente não curte esses tons meio caquentos de verde (Bruna é uma delas!), mas achei que os glitters deram um que a mais à cor.
Do you guys like this color? I know many girls don't really like wearing these types of greens (my sister Bruna is one of them), but I thought the shimmer and the glitters gave it a totally different feel!
