Há algumas semanas eu descobri o blog My Awesome Beauty, e me apaixonei tanto pelo trabalho de fotografia dessa "quase xará", quanto pelas unhas.
Já tinha visto essa unha que ela fez flutuando pelo Pinterest, e resolvi fazer minha própria interpretação. Como ando apaixonada por triângulos (ou chevrons), adorei o resultado.
A few weeks ago I discovered the blog My Awesome Beauty. I immediately fell in love with Sophie's photography work, and of course, her nails!
I'd seen this mani that she did several times on Pinterest, and decided to do my own interpretation. Lately I've been a little addicted to chevron manis, so I really love how this turned out.
Os esmaltes que usei foram todos da China Glaze. O escuro azul petróleo quase preto com glas flecks azul/teal é o Smoke and Ashes da coleção The Capitol Colors.
O verde neon (meio) é o In The Lime Light, e o verde folha é o Gaga For Green da coleção Electropop.
For this mani I used all China Glaze polishes. The dark blue, almost black, is Smoke and Ashes. I love this polish and it's blue/green/teal flecks, but it's really hard to capture the flecks because the base is so dark.
The middle green is the neon In The Lime Light, and the other green is Gaga for Green.
Usei striping tape para fazer os triângulos, e é bem difícil pintar sem ir por cima da fita que é bem fininha.
Decidi deixar o dedão e o anelar só com duas cores, e fazer "accent" nails" bem discretas.
I used striping tape to tape off the areas, and it was hard to paint within the lines since the striping tape is so thin.
I did a couple discreet accent nails by leaving the thumb and the ring finger with only 2 color chevrons.
Usei o branco da Wet'n'wild para dar um contraste nas pontas, já que todos os meus verdes clarinhos estão vindo na mudança.
I used my Wet'n'wild white polish to give a little contrast by painting the very tips. Initially I thought of using a light mint green, but all my light greens are in the container along with all my stuff from the move from Hawaii to Florida.
Para terminar, aqui vai uma foto do Smoke and Ashes, que é lindo demais! Os reflexos são muito difíceis de captar por que a base é muito escura, mas na foto menor dá pra ver direitinho.
