Já fazia tempo que eu queria testar essa nail art de V-Gap, mas como eu já sabia que ia ser uma dessas que eu preciso ver nas minhas unhas para decidir se gosto ou não, fiquei meses pensando em que esmalte usar.
I've been flirting with the V-Gap mani for a while now, but I knew it'd be one of those nail arts that I have to actually do on myself, and decide if I like it or not. I spent months thinking about it, and trying to decide which polish to use for this look.
Para fazer a minhas unhas de V-Gap, escolhi o Belgrave Place da Nails Inc. Esse é um dos famigerados "blurples", que são uma dor de cabeça para fotografar. Esse esmalte me lembra muito as cópias de carbono de antigamente.
Deixei a parte de baixo só na base mesmo, e terminei com uma camada de top coat.
To do my V-Gap nails I used Nails Inc Belgrave Place. This is one of those blurple colors that are so hard to capture on camera.
I left the base of my nails with just a coat of ridge filler, and finished the whole thing with some top coat.
Usei o pincel do próprio esmalte para fazer as "barriguinhas", mas confesso que tive que usar um lápis para marcar o centro da minha unha, por que eu ficava inclinando demais o pincel e errava o ângulo do V. Depois da terceira errada, eu marquei com um lápis e aí foi rapidinho.
I used the polish brush to do the gap, but I confess that I used a regular pencil to mark the center of each nail. I kept going on too much of an angle every time, and the gap was always off center, so after the third try I used a pencil to help me out.
O que vocês acharam do V-Gap? Eu acabei gostando, mas acho que um esmalte escuro é quase essencial para ficar bom.
This was a really easy look, and in the end I loved how it turned out. I think a dark polish is essential to make this mani work. What do you think?
