Argay by Kelly Cris + Aplicando Holos com Água

Here'e another dark purple polish... I know I posted Purple Rain last time, but I just HAD TO show you guys this polish today.
Yesterday a few friends of mine tried out a new technique of applying holographic polishes as top coat, and left everyone drooling over the effect.

Before I explain the technique, let me tell you a little about the holo polish I'm showing today. This is an indie polish by a friend of mine, Kelly from Esmaltes da Kelly
She has warned everyone that the pigment in this polish is very unstable and that it will change and eventually "die". She only sold it to people who totally understood this but still wanted the polish,. I don't think she makes this anymore.
When I wore this polish called Argay, I noticed it was more blue-purple than usual and that the prism didn't really show as much as I expected. I tried using it with aqua base, regular base coat, with and without top coat. I stirred it with a stick, with a Q-tip and even left if upside down for a few days. The prism just wasn't showing as strong was what I saw on other people's pictures.

When Tiane tried applying one of Kelly's holo polishes with water and the prism was stronger than usual, I stopped what I was doing and gave this technique a try and gave Argay another another chance.

The technique is the same as with water marbling, where you place a drop of polish in the water, let it spread and then dip your fingers. You only need 1 drop! I did all 5 fingers with 1 drop... so this will totally be a huge economy right?
The holographic particles seem to get condensed when dropped in the water, and translate beautifully onto the nails!

I used Argay over Nails Inc Belgrave Place, a dark blurple (I already did a v-gap with it here). It's definitely showing a prism now, even though it's not as strong as what Kelly and Tiane got, I'm totally satisfied because I thought this polish would never work and now I can wear it like this.

Sorry for the super long post, but I had to explain the story behing Argay so you guys could understand my excitement.
I was filming my attempt, so here's the edited video for you guys to see. The second video is the English version.
I hope you guys test this out, because it does work!

Beijos,
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
