Júlia: Esmalte Artesanal by Kelly Cris

During my visit to Brazil, I had the opportunity of purchasing a few polishes created by my friend Kelly from the blog Esmaltes da Kelly. She's been creating some glitter based polishes and some holo polishes that are jaw dropping!
I am immensely proud to have fellow Brazilians creating such beauties, and I'm super excited that the indie bandwagon has finally arrived in Brazil.
Today I have one of Kelly's creations to show you: Júlia.

Some of you might already know Kelly's blog, and if you don't. I totally recommend you check it out. She writes in Portuguese, but Google Translate can give you a hand.
She produces one of the best swatch pictures in Brazil, and she has already shown her own creation Júlia here. So instead of using Júlia like a regular glitter topper, I decided to go for a glitter sandwich.

I ended up trying two different sandwiches. The first one was made using a polish called Orvalho by Colorama. Colorama Brazil just released a collection of sheer polishes, which are great for layering.
Orvalho is a yellow green, and it's very sheer. I used 2 coats of Orvalho + 1 coat of Júlia + 1 coat of Orvalho + top coat.

The second sandwich was made using another polish from the same Colorama collection called Gota (a blue toned purple). I used 3 coats of each polish, one on top of the other, and ended with top coat.

Júlia has some really fine glitter which is almost the same color as the base color in Gota. They kinda got lost in the sandwich. I really liked the contrast between the hex magenta glitter and the purple base though.

I hope you enjoyed these glitter sandwiches! If you're interest in Kelly's polishes, she takes reservations via email: kellycrisnegri@uol.com.br
Each glitter polish costs R$10 (around US$5) + shipping. Please check out her whole current collection on her blog Esmaltes da Kelly. I'll be back with some of her holo beauties in the next few weeks.

Obrigada pela visita, e até a próxima! Beijos.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you soon.
